Trainee Programme

BECOME A SPONSOR

We are looking for local businesses that want to help us provide this opportunity to more local people living with long-term invisible health conditions

We believe that our Trainee programme is one of a kind:

  • Understanding of and passion for supporting hidden health conditions which are often uncatered for by other providers.

  • A holistic approach that provides practical skills and experience but also builds of soft skills required for employment.

  • Trainees setting their own goals for learning and skills. No 'one size fits all' approach here.

Lolly Production Trainee Programme

In our 2022 and 2023 seasons we developed and run our very own Lolly Production Trainee Programme

This collaborative programme offers paid part-time work over 2 months, created with the participants and individualized to their needs, learning goals and skills. It was open to those who face barriers in the workforce because of a hidden health condition or disability. It focused on developing skills in food hygiene, production and packaging, offering access to a level 2 or level 3 certified qualification, as well as development opportunities in other areas of business. We provided support in work readiness, getting into a work-day routine, building confidence, facilitating positive conversations around access to work and reasonable adjustments, building a CV with practical work experience and supporting individuals to thrive in a workplace environment in this paid traineeship.

A total of 8 individuals from our local community have benefitted from this scheme in 2022 and 2023.
